Universitas Brawijaya (UB) handed positions of Chair and Secretary for International Scientific Publications Office (PPIKID), formerly Prof. Dr. Ir. Lilik Eka Radiato MS, IPU and Mohammad Iqbal S.Sos., MIB., DBA., over Prof. Sukir Maryanto S.Si., M.S.i., Ph.D. and Dr. Fachrizal Afandi S.Psi., SH., MH., Thursday (23/9/2021). Based on the Rector’s Decree Number 5517 of 2021, both of them will serve as the new PPIKID officials until July 1, 2023.
Head of LPPM UB, Dr. Ir. Bambang Susilo, M.Sc., Agr., trusted that the new PPIKID management can build a system which can improve the interest and performance of lecturers in publishing scientific publications.
“UB’s budget support for research and publication incentives is the largest one compared to other universities in Indonesia,” said Bambang.
On the same occasion, Prof. Lilik expressed her impressions and messages while leading PPIKID for the last two years.
She hoped that the new PPIKID management under Prof. Sukir and Dr. Fachrizal can perform better to increase the publication of lecturers’ scientific works in UB.
“The cooperation with various parties including WCU UB team is required to align the vision and work program in order to improve the performance of publications in UB,” said Prof. Lilik.
As the new appointed chair of PPIKID UB, Prof. Sukir welcomed the message from the current LPPM and former PPIKID Management and attempted to improve UB’s Main Performance Indicators in the field of publication as mandated by the Rector and Vice Rector 1 of UB.
“The unique structure of PPIKID UB is under two leads, Vice Rector 1 and LPPM. It creates challenges, and also have potentials which can be developed to accelerate the performance of scientific publications in UB. With Dr. Fachrizal and other PPIKID staff, we will do a deeper mapping of publication potential as well as coordinate with various parties in UB to build a system and achieve good and professional scientific publications, “said Prof. Sukir.
